Course Rules

USGA RULES will govern all play except where the following local rules prevail:

  1. Report to the Golf Shop 10 minutes before tee time.
  2. All golfers must be registered and have their own golf clubs and bag.
  3. No walking specators.
  4. You must be 18 years old and have a valid driver's license to rent a cart.
  5. Five-somes are allowed before 3pm Mon - Thur.
  6. No rain checks.
  7. Shirts and shoes must be worn at all times.
  8. Slow Play - Keep up with the group ahead.
  9. Use golf etiquette. Repair ball marks, replace divots, and rake sand traps.
  10. Out of Bounds: Defined by white stakes or fences bordeging the golf course.
  11. Water Hazards: Defined by red stakes or lines.

The Real, True, and Un-Exaggerated Rules of Golf

  1. If you really want to be better at golf, go back and take it up at a much earlier age.
  2. Any change works for a maximum of three holes and a minimum of not at all.
  3. No matter how bad you are playing, it is always possible to play worse.
  4. Never try to keep more than 300 separate thoughts in your mind during your swing.
  5. When your shot has to carry over a water hazard, you can either hit 1 more club or 2 more balls.
  6. The less skilled the player, the more likely he is to share his ideas about the golf swing.
  7. If it ain't broke, try changing your grip.
  8. Golfers who claim they don't cheat, also lie.
  9. Everyone replaces his divot after a perfect shot.
  10. A golf match is a test of your skill against your opponent's luck.
  11. It's not a gimme if you're still away.
  12. You can hit a 2-acre fairway 10% of the time, and a 2-inch branch 90% of the time.
  13. Hazards attract, fairways repel.
  14. A ball you can see in the rough from 50 yards is not yours.
  15. Don't buy a better putter until you've had a chance to throw it.
